Who is Publishing Services Consortium?

Publishing Services Consortium provides billing, payment processing, and royalty distribution services on behalf of world-class publishers. Your publisher has engaged Publishing Services Consortium to provide you with these services in an effort to 1) introduce electronic invoicing; 2) provide best-in-class payment alternatives to simplify the payment process while introducing alternatives like ACH, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and others; and 3) allow your publisher to focus on what they do best, work with you to publish your book!

What services does Publishing Services Consortium provide versus my publisher?

Publishing Services Consortium simply provides back-office services to offer you the most efficient, secure, and streamlined ability to receive invoices, make payments on your account, and, if applicable, receive royalty payments.

Your agreement remains in effect with your publisher, and this streamlined system will enable you to spend more time on your own publishing journey and less time spent making manual payments.

Invoicing

What are my invoicing options?

We offer electronic invoicing, which will enable you to receive immediate email notification of invoicing directly to your email address on file. This is the most efficient, timely and secure method of delivery.

An opt-in to paper invoicing is available, whereby you can elect to receive invoices via USPS and subsequently remit a payment coupon (found on the bottom section of your invoice) with your check or money order payment. Credit card payments may always be made over the phone by calling us at (866) 786-1476.

Can you provide a statement of my account/my current outstanding balance?

Absolutely! Email or call us and we will be happy to provide you with a current statement.

Each invoice we provide to you has a current statement balance included to remind you of your total outstanding account balance.

What changes can I expect to the invoicing process?

We are in the process of upgrading invoicing and electronic payment infrastructure to ensure we are offering the widest range of secure payment options in the market. Stay tuned for an upcoming announcement on these improvements, including the ability to pay via ACH, Apple Pay, and Google Pay, among others!

You will also have the ability to pay directly from a payment link that will appear on the PDF invoices you receive from your publisher without the requirement to mail or phone in payment details.

Payments

What are my payment options?

We accept payment by check, money order, and major credit card. Please contact us via phone at (866) 786-1476 to make a payment by credit card.

Full payment for wholesale books and promotional items is required before fulfillment and shipment occur.

We are in the process of upgrading our electronic payment infrastructure to ensure we are offering the widest range of secure payment options in the market. Stay tuned for an upcoming announcement on these improvements, including the ability to pay via ACH, Apple Pay, and Google Pay, among others!

You will also have the ability to pay directly from a payment link that will appear on the PDF invoices you receive from your publisher without the requirement to mail or phone in payment details.

We will ALWAYS verify your account information before discussing your account and/or taking payment from you for your safety!

How will my credit card charges appear on my statement?

All credit card charges will appear on your statement as “PublishingSC” and list our phone number (866) 786-1476.

Who do I contact with invoicing and payment questions?

We do NOT accept credit card information over email or via USPS for your protection and in compliance with PCI requirements.

We take privacy and security VERY seriously and will never provide any account information and/or take payment without verifying your account information.

How can I ensure that my payment details remain secure?

Publishing Services Consortium processes all credit card payments via Authorize.Net. We are an Authorized.Net verified merchant, indicating that your payment will be processed securely by one of the most trusted names in the payment industry. We will always verify your identity by asking you a number of questions related to your account. We will NEVER provide any account information over the phone that could compromise your identity if intercepted by a third-party.

Your payment details are entered directly into the Authorize.Net terminal and ARE NOT recorded by anyone at Publishing Services Consortium!

Royalties

Who should I contact if I have a question about royalties?

Please contact your publisher directly about royalties. We can only answer questions about royalties paid.

Who should I contact if I have misplaced/lost/never received a check and need a royalty payment reissued?

Please contact us here. We will verify the status of your payment and advise you of options to ensure you receive payment as promptly as possible.

What are my payment options for royalties?

We have partnered with BILL, a leading provider of payment solutions, to issue all royalty payments and payment can be made from BILL to you according to your preference.

Please contact us here and we can help walk you through the process of setting up your own free BILL account, which will enable you to enter (and maintain) your bank information and receive electronic payment of royalties.  Electronic payment reduces the risk of check fraud, the time it takes to wait for the check to arrive in the mail and eliminates the process of having to deposit the check in your bank.
